Hi! My name is Dan Young. I came to Calvary in August of 2010 and am having a delightful time. I have found Calvary to be a warm place with friendly people looking to grow in their walk with God and love the people around them. This is what Calvary is all about… We love to study the Bible and apply it to day to day living. We are living out the gift of life that God has given us…

Matt McAlack
Pastor of Youth and Family
Matt McAlack has a B.S. Bible from Cairn University, a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Temple University. He and his wife, Michele, have three sons, three daughters-in-law and six grandchildren.
The mission of their lives is to develop young leaders for the church of Jesus Christ. They love teenagers and enjoy hanging out. They love the beach, sports, and spending time in the outdoors. The McAlack’s have a special burden for Northern Ireland and for special needs kids.
Matt works full-time at Cairn University as a professor and leads the Youth and Family Ministry Program. Matt serves part-time at Calvary.
Dan Loch
Director of Worship
Dan Loch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Master of Divinity degrees from Cairn University. He started leading worship at Calvary in February of 2021. Nothing brings him more joy than hearing God’s children sing as one, unified body.
In addition to leading worship, Dan runs Theworshipingsongwriter.com, a site dedicated to glorifying God through songwriting. He also teaches guitar, as well as other instruments, and composition. He and his wife Lindsey love music, hiking, and Lord of the Rings.
Dan’s goal is to equip God’s church with songs that will sustain her through all of life. That through every trial and every joy the church may sing “Because your love is better than life my lips will glorify You” (Psalm 63:3).
Dave Payne Jr
Director of Digital Ministries
Dave Payne graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute and finished his Bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry at Cairn University. He has been attending Calvary Bristol ever since he was a baby and now is helping Calvary's online ministries start and grow. He also streams on Twitch and enjoys finding weird things to cook, anything that involves dice, and giant robots.
